One small step... One huge belch...

Block Party

Last night, there was a block party right in front of our house. We had such a great time and all of my favorite friends were there. Here is a picture of me and Mommy as we arrived at the party. Kay, Bryan and Nikos are the newbies on the block - Nikos is only 2 months older than me!

























Here are some of the big kids on our block: Max, Jane, little Grace, big Grace, Allie and Francesca. Are they goofy or what?

I am not crawling yet, but getting close! I am on all fours as much as I can - I even sleep in "child's pose" with my knees tucked under my belly. Oh, and Mommy and Papa finally finished babyproofing my play room! It's about time!

I'm 9 Months Old!!!!!

And to celebrate, I am just about ready to crawl. In fact, today while Mommy was reading a book to my friends Faith and Grace, I somehow got from one side of the room to the other all by myself. No one saw me crawl, but I did!!! Yeah, I'm stealthy like that.



I am ready to get a move on already so I practice crawling and flipping every which way whenever I can. I'd crawl all the time, but Mommy and Papa STILL haven't finished babyproofing the house so I think I'll wait a few more days to let loose.



Oh, I had my pediatrician appointment today. I weigh 17 pounds 8.5 ounces (25th percentile) and I am 30 1/4" long (98th percentile). I am getting so big!!!!

Bath Time

Mommy and Papa think I am just so darned cute when I get out of the tub. Sure I smell good and my skin is super soft, but is that a reason to gush over me each and every single time I get a bath?

Big Moments

So I had a big moment on Saturday. Mommy put me down for a nap in my crib, but I didn't want to sleep - I wanted to play. Imagine Mommy's surprise when she went to check on me and found me sitting up in my crib ALL BY MY SELF! That's right, I went from laying down to sitting up on my own for the first time ever.

Since then, I have been on a roll. Wiggling around on the floor....













To wiggling around in Mommy's lap and sitting on my legs without help....















To getting on all fours and rocking back and forth....













Look out world! I'm drooling and on the prowl!

Labor Day weekend

Labor Day weekend is behind us and so is what is generally considered summertime here in the great state of Michigan. We managed to have a fun weekend, starting with a bar-b-que at Shaun's house in Farmington Hills. She had a mini-pool just for me! But I got water in my eyes from all the splashing and I wasnt so crazy about that!
























Mommy and Papa are trying to get me to crawl. But I like to just hang out and rock back and forth....










See - I told you it was me writing this blog and not Mommy. Told you!













I had lots of cuddle time with Papa on his 3-day weekend. And yeah, time with boring ole Mommy too.



















I am soooooooo big.

Oh and most importantly of all, my best friend Hope Umland was baptized.
