Peek-a-BOO!!!!!!

It's my very first Halloween!!! Can you tell that I am just a little excited?

Last week, we went to a party with our Parenting Group friends. Everyone had super cute costumes, including my cute friend Aiden. But whenever Aiden tries to play with me, Papa comes and picks me up. Hmmmm.....maybe he isn't kidding about me not dating till I'm 25.

But what was Mommy thinking when she bought me this cow costume. How am I supposed to crawl in this? So I fell over and my little friends crawled all over me. "Where's the milk?" It was pretty funny, or at least Mommy thought so.

Then on Saturday night, my friend Sophia and her parents Jen and Taki held their 6th Annual Halloween Pumpkin Carving Party. I mainly practiced crawling and tried to keep up with the "big" kids, who are about 15 months old now. Mommy and Papa ate and drank and caught up with friends. I was super tired at then end though - it was a fun party!

Here is a picture of Sophia and her Mommy Jen. Soph was dressed as a cow too!

I can't wait to go trick-or-treating on Friday night! Though it doesn't make much sense since I can't eat the candy anyway. I guess I will have to give my candy to Mommy and Papa. Hey, now I know why they are so excited about taking me!!!!

Washington DC

Papa was asked to travel to Washington D.C. on behalf of GM to give presentations on "100 Years of Car Design" at the French Embassy so of course Mommy and me tagged along.

This is my second time on an airplane trip and as you can see I am a pro now. On the return flight, I didn't even cry when my ears popped as we landed.

But first, we spent Sunday with Becki and Mitch and my favorite little cousin Anna. We had so much fun! Anna at first thought I was her babydoll and wanted to dress me and then she tackled me. Becki and Mitch made a delicious dinner and I even got to try some chicken .... it was yummy! There were quite a few empty bottles of wine afterwards, so I think everyone had a great night. Thanks to the Marchand's for a super fun evening!

The next morning we headed off to Howard University and then to the Art Institute of Washington where Papa gave presentations to students interested in car design. He did a super job! Students kept Papa late both times asking lots of good questions.

Later that night, we met up with Papy and Auntie Kittena at the French Embassy for Papa's big presentation to La Maison Francaise. He presented to about 80 people and once again he was a hit.

I wanted to stay to hear Papa's lecture, but I kept squealing whenever I heard Papa talk, so Mommy had to take me out into the hallway. But that's okay because we played a lot. Don't I look very bon chic bon genre in my dress? But I didn't steal the show from Papa - he looks super handsome in a suit!

I loved spending family time with Papy and Auntie Kittena!

Mommy was so proud of Papa and so was I! We should so this again, if not just to dress up!

People hung around for hours afterwards waiting to ask Papa questions and to talk to him about cars. I was super tired but didn't cry until the very very end when it was over.

The next morning we went to the Hannah's to visit Papy and his parents, Auntie Kittena and Auntie Kenna. They served apple pie and ice cream and everyone watched me play. I liked going there!

The best part about going out of town is that someone else gets to make the bed!

I didn't see too much of Washington DC, but we did have breakfast at Union Station, which was right next door to our hotel. Also, Mommy and I took the Metro a few times and I sure liked that! I charmed everyone in the subway!!!!!

Autumn in Michigan

Mommy couldn't resist the opportunity to take photos of me in my pretty pink dress on this gorgeous autumn day. I had a bad cold and didn't feel so hot, but I was a real trooper.

The Last of Summer....

Here in Michigan, we were treated to an Indian Summer with temperatures the past week or so in the 70's. We celebrated by sitting out on the patio Mommy and Papa's favorite restaurant, Cafe Muse. We hadnt been there since May, but the servers all recognized me and couldnt believe how big I got!

Mommy tried feeding me some of her food, but as you can see I wasn't happy trying new food.

So instead she fed me some white grape juice. I actually had a really bad cold on Saturday, but I think the fresh air helped because I was back to my smiley, happy self on Sunday.

I have had a hard time sleeping lately, so Papa read one of his Astrix books to me and that did the trick - I slept through the night!

I love hanging out with Papa. He thinks it is pretty cool when I give him high 5's, but I prefer to just crawl and drool on him.

I am so good when I take a bottle....

But when I get real stubborn when I dont want anymore! Hmmm...I wonder who I inherited my stubborness from?

I am 10 Months Old!

I don't have any stats for you, except that I am cuter than ever! I have had some visitors lately. Mommy's old colleagues from Crosswinds came over for some (actually a lot of) drinks. Alison's daughter Gabby played with me almost the whole time. She is the coolest 7 year old ever!

Mommy's friend Andi and her little boy Evan visited one night and boy did we have fun. I can't wait to meet baby girl Wright who will be born next month!!!!

Mommy, Papa and I went to Kalamazoo for Mommy's annual planning conference. Papa watched me during the day while Mommy attended her sessions. It was a good trip, but I missed my toys and friends back home. Plus it was COLD in K-zoo. Brrrr.....

During the weekdays, I spend a lot of time with Faith, my neighbor from across the street. She loves to play with me and I laugh so hard watching her run and jump. Here we are chilling out watching Baby Mozart and eating Cheerios.

Lisa, my favorite babysitter, came one day to hang out and she sure spoiled me!!! She spoiled Mommy too - she brought over margaritas!
